From Paper is a document scanning app that operates entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data or user content. The App is designed in accordance with the data minimization and privacy-by-design principles of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
We do not collect any data. Specifically:
Since no personal data is collected or processed, there is no legal basis for processing to disclose, no data retention period to specify, and no data transfers to third countries.
From Paper requests access to your device’s camera and photo library solely to scan and import documents. These permissions are managed by iOS and can be revoked at any time in your device’s Settings. All captured images and generated PDFs are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to any server.
All documents, scans, and settings are stored exclusively on your device. From Paper does not use any cloud services, remote servers, or external databases. If you delete the App, all associated data is removed from your device.
From Paper does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. The App contains no third-party code that collects data.
From Paper does not require or use an internet connection. The App is fully functional offline and makes no network requests.
When you use the share feature to export a PDF, the document is shared directly through your device’s built-in sharing mechanism (AirDrop, Mail, Messages, etc.). We have no access to shared content.
From Paper does not collect data from any user, regardless of age. The App is safe for users of all ages and complies with applicable child protection regulations, including COPPA (US) and GDPR Article 8 (EU).
Since From Paper collects no personal data, most data subject rights under GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, portability) do not apply in practice — there is simply no data to act upon. If you believe otherwise or have any concerns, please contact us at the email below.
